Central Alberta Economic Partnership (CAEP) has a new executive director.

Effective May 1, Tracy Gardner takes the reins of CAEP, which is a membership-based organization that fosters success to advance central Alberta’s regional competitive advantage.

“We are thrilled to have Tracy join CAEP as our executive director. She will work alongside the board of directors and our members to continue to build the relevance and profile of CAEP within our region,” says James Carpenter, CAEP board chair.

Gardner has 15 years of experience working with staff and volunteers to exceed corporate and community goals, CAEP notes.

“I am ready for a new opportunity that fully integrates my diverse and authentic skill set with an economic development organization that enthusiastically embraces a regional economic growth strategy,” says Gardner.

CAEP has the following ongoing initiatives:

  • Regional Business Retention and Support
  • Business and Investment Attraction
  • Rural and Indigenous Broadband Connectivity
  • Transportation and Logistics, Regional Land Database
  • Municipal Investment Attraction Readiness Program
  • Economic Development Member Training
