Mr. Tony Ivan Orr, of the Crammond area, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the age of 84 years. He was born to Danish parents on the homestead where he lived and farmed his whole life. When he wasn’t farming he loved going to auction sales, community potlucks, visiting neighbours, day trips out west, fishing, and roasting hotdogs over a campfire. Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-six years, Christina Orr, his stepchildren, Richard Vaudan (Phyllis Sinclair), Gene (Gerrie) Vaudan, and Vivianne (Mario) Boisvert. He will also be deeply missed by his sister Alice (Dale) Savage and nieces and nephew Lynn (Glen) Armstrong, Daniel (Jolinda) Savage, Michelle (Mark) Skawronski. Tony was predeceased by his parents Peter and Dorothea Orr, and his nephew, Rodney Savage. A special thank you to Sundre Supportive Living for caring for him with respect and loving him like family. A Celebration of Tony’s life will be held at the Crammond Community Centre, Crammond, Alberta, T0M 0M0, on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Tony’s honor may be made directly to the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Canadian Canine Training Corporation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
