Mr. David ‘Lee’ Hamilton passed away after a lengthy illness, at Points West Living, Red Deer, on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the age of 78 years. Lee was born on September 26, 1944 in Red Deer, Alberta to Isaac and Barbara Hamilton. Most of Lee’s life was spent working in the Oilfield throughout Alberta. He loved his job and enjoyed socializing; everyone enjoyed his many stories. In 2017, Lee retired due to health issues. Lee will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Janet Reitmeier; his children, Darren and Shauna (Mike); and his stepchildren, Lyle, Guy, Angela, Kim (Clint), and Cory. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters, Elizabeth, Geraldine (Ron), and Linda (Ron); his sister-in-law, Shirley Hamilton; as well as numerous family members and dear friends. Lee was predeceased by his parents, Isaac and Barbara Hamilton, his brothers, Mac (Arlene) and Lloyd, his stepson, Randy and his nephew, Randy. Lee’s family would like to extend a special Thank You to the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Points West Living for their care of Lee. At Lee’s request, no service will be held. If desired, Memorial Donations in Lee’s honor may be made directly to a charity of the donor’s choice. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
