It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our father and brother Jim Scott on February 14, 2023 at the age of 77 years. He was born to parents Harry and Grace Scott and was a brother to Shirley, Eleanor and Ora. He lived his entire life on the family farm west of Innisfail in the Little Red Deer District. He enjoyed driving trips to the U.S. and three cruises with good friends as well as trips to Vancouver Island before health issues prevented travel. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in their sports and watching curling on TV. He will be lovingly remembered by daughter: Kristen and her daughter Brenah, and his daughter, Angela (Darrell) Miller and their sons Levi and Cash. Also surviving is wife Barbara, his stepdaughter, Kim Haugen (Len Carter) and her daughters Brittney (Curtis) and Jessica (Chase) and their families, his two sisters: Eleanor Knutson and Ora Scott, as well as one niece, five nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his oldest sister Shirley Rabel and her husband Paul Rabel and brother-in-law Bernt Knutson.
We would like to extend a large thank you to the Innisfail EMS, Innisfail Fire Department, Innisfail Health Care Centre Acute Care staff and the other numerous people who assisted over the last few months. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Memorial Donations made be made in Jim’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at
