Daniel Edward Turberfield born June 26, 1977 in Fort McMurray and passed away in Red Deer on February 3, 2023. He is survived by his children Jordan (10), Luca (6); ex-wife Jacqueline Palmer; father Robert Turberfield, sister Bonnie (Cory) Grose, brother David (Kelly) Turberfield, brother Kelly (Janna) Turberfield; nieces, nephews; Sandra Nelson and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his mother Lynda Turberfield (2018).
Dan was a precipice delivery; meaning the delivery happen very fast. Dan also lived his life this way; in the fast lane. His family move from Fort McMurray back to Camrose in 1979. Dan grew up in Camrose and was very involved in sports. He moved to Red Deer where he attended college for business and computer programing @ RDC. He had his own computer company for a while and worked at Future Shop. Dan started at IG and has been there ever since. He met his wife Jacqueline Palmer and they were married in 2010 in Mexico. Their daughter Jordan was born in 2012 and a son Luca in 2016.
Unfortunately, they separated and divorced in 2018. He lived for his kids, they were his whole world. He was never happier then when he was spending time with them; building forts and creating a starry sky on their bedroom ceiling. Dan continued to be very active with sports as an adult. You name it, he probably played it. He plays goal for several hockey teams and was asked to be a backup goalie for the Bentley Generals at one point. Dan plays slow pitch; mixed and men’s and also men’s baseball, and been to nationals several times. He was very involved with volunteering; paws and claws, MS tour and sports for kids to name a few.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on February 23 at Eventide Funeral Home, 4820 45th Street, Red Deer.
The family are sincerely thankful for Dan’s business partner, Trevor, and assistant, Leigh-Ann for all their help and support, he wouldn’t have made it this far without you. Also, his many friends that were always there for him.
