It is with great sadness the family of Ronald Pierce announce his peaceful passing on November 30, 2022 at the age of 71 years. Ron was an incredible father who is lovingly remembered by his three sons; Mikel, Daniel, and Lee. Ron is also survived by his brother Jim (Mary) and sister Barbara (Doug). He was predeceased by his parents Maurice and Joan, brother Terry and sisters Diana and Cathy. Ron was a great friend and will be missed dearly by his friends Mel, Glen and Tom.
Ron devoted his life to helping those around him and had a passion for volunteerism that led him to over 50 years of coaching youth soccer in Edmonton. Ron loved teaching the beautiful game to children and the bonds he made with all his teams. Ron made huge contributions to a wide variety of local charities and organizations through his countless hours volunteering at casinos. Always one to lend a hand or tell a joke, Ron made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. Ron truly was one of a kind.
There will be a Celebration of Life that is open to the public for Ron at the St. Matthias Church on Saturday December 10, 2022 from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. Please feel free to wear any soccer apparel. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to: Callingwood-Lymburn youth soccer or the Canadian Cancer Society.
