One of two charged in stolen property investigation sentenced to four months
One of two people charged in a significant stolen property investigation has been sentenced to four months in jail.
Mitchell Ron Leismeister, 37, of Sylvan Lake, was sentenced in Red Deer provincial court on Nov. 25, 2022, to 120 days in jail on one count of possession of property-under $5000 and 30 days in jail, to be served concurrently, on one count of fail to comply with a release order.
Leismeister’s co-accused, Michelle Elizabeth Walker, 37, also of Sylvan Lake, is due back in Red Deer provincial court on December 7, 2022.
In early April 2022, RCMP began investigating an alleged repeat property crime offender working out of the Sylvan Lake area.
