Ponoka Christmas lights to double this year at Lions Centennial Park
The annual Christmas light display at Lions Centennial Park will be bigger and brighter than ever this year. Thanks to a $5,000 donation from the Ponoka Lions Club, the light display will expand once again this year. In fact, the actual number of Christmas lights will double compared to last year.
The Christmas light display at Lions Centennial Park is scheduled to light up by Friday, December 9. At that time, citizens will be able to take a stroll and marvel at the beauty of the tens of thousands of festive lights throughout the park. The light display will continue throughout the winter until the end of February.
“The Town would like to thank the Ponoka Lions Club for their generous donation once again this year. The magic of the Lions Centennial Park Christmas light display is an important part of the holiday season in Ponoka,” said Sandra Lund, Chief Administrative Officer.
“Our hope is that the light display will not only delight and entertain our local citizens and their families, but will attract visitors to Ponoka as well.
