It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brian Gorr of Trochu, Alberta. Brian passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Brian was born to Gerald (Jerry) and Dianne Gorr. Brian was raised on the family farm near Trochu. Brian attended school in both Torrington and Trochu. It was at Tro-Val where he met his wife of thirty-one years, Barb. Brian and his wife Barb lived and farmed the family farm. Brian was a very outgoing person and whether it was farming, camping, travelling, playing hockey, hunting or fishing, Brian always had time for family, friends and bon-fires.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Barb Gorr (nee Cranston), his two daughters; Ashley Gorr (Jeff), Chelsey (Kevin) Devaleriola, his granddaughter Vienna Shippelt, his mother Dianne Gorr, his sister Tracey Gorr (Perry), nephews Zach and Jake Robertson and a large extended family. Brian was predeceased by his father, Jerry Gorr. Brian was very much a family man and will be missed by all. Brian leaves behind many fond memories that will comfort his family for years to come.
A Celebration of Life in Brian’s honor has been entrusted to Heartland Funeral Services Ltd. and will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Trochu Community Center at 1:00 pm.
