Luella Mary Eby stepped into the presence of her Lord on September 5, 2022 with family by her side at the age of 99 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Wes and Mary Styles; her husband, Ward Eby; daughter Lynda and all of her siblings. She is survived by four daughters Gayle McEwing (Colin), Gwen Chopko (James), Mary Lou Evans (Paul) and Norma Jean Howard (Victor); 3 grandchildren Vaughn McEwing (Lisa), Caleb Evans (Julie) and Terry Howard (Lindsey); 2 great grandchildren Kyan and Ayla Evans. She is also survived by 3 sisters-in-law Leona Styles and Viola Eby and Tilly Styles.. Luella has lived in Didsbury for 70 years (as of 2021) and was active in her church and community. Throughout her lifetime she wore many hats such as being a Pioneer Girls leader, working for a local doctor for many years, working at Mountain View Bible College, working in a hospital, working in a bank. She was a good cook, great baker and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. Many was gifts and projects that proceeded from her needles and sewing machine! Luella has resided for the last several years at Aspen Ridge Lodge, where she was happy and content; not having to cook anymore was a treat for her. The family would like to thank the staff of the Lodge for their loving care of Luella. They knew that she was treated well and was safe. A funeral service was held on September 12 at the Zion Evangelical Missionary Church, Didsbury with a burial at the Didsbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Aspen Ridge Lodge. Heartland Funeral Services Ltd., Olds entrusted with arrangements.
