Mr. Francis ‘Frank’ Homer Coulson passed away at the Rosefield Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the age of 94 years. Frank was born in Waskatenau, Alberta on March 16, 1928 to parents, Frank and Maude Coulson. He was the oldest child followed by sisters, Elsie, Edna, Margaret, and Lorraine. Frank completed his schooling in Waskatenau. Later in life, he decided Calgary, Alberta was the place to be. While working at Crescent Lumber on Center Street, Frank met Lillian Cozzubbo. They were married on August 5, 1950. Frank joined the family business, the Alberta Coffee & Tea Company. It was here that he learned the coffee business from his father-in-law, Marino. Assorted coffee beans from around the world were blended to make Marino’s signature coffee. Frank excelled at figures; when the business sold, he was in charge of Sales and Accounting. Frank stayed on with the new owners for several years and received Salesman of the Year in 1972. Frank and Lillian moved to the Stauffer area in the early seventies. Here, Frank, Lillian and Emily Cuzzubbo began ELF Hereford Ranch. Frank got tired of driving to Calgary, so he retired from the coffee business in nineteen seventy-eight. From Purebred Horned Herefords, German Shepherd dogs to Franks fleet of Massey Ferguson tractors, Frank enjoyed it all. He was always a good neighbor and a gentleman. He devoted his life to Lillian and her mother, Emily ‘Tootsie’. When Tootsie was admitted to the Rosefield Centre, Frank drove every day to feed her supper. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Margaret Tyler, of Vegreville, Alberta. Frank was predeceased by his wife, Lillian, his parents, Frank and Maude and his sisters, Elsie, Edna and Lorraine.
