Red Deer RCMP & VSU bid farewell to support dog

Aug 31, 2022 | 11:33 AM

Red Deer RCMP are saying farewell this week to a very special member of their team.

Harley, a black six-year-old Labrador Retriever, has been a Facility Dog for over four years, working alongside Red Deer City Victim Services Unit (VSU).

During his service, Mounties say Harley has logged nearly 700 hours, providing support to more than 300 individuals and families affected by crime and tragedy. Harley also regularly provided support at the Red Deer provincial court house and at the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre.
