Mrs. Abigail ‘Abi’ Bauer De Herman passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the age of 68 years. Abi was born in Guatemala City; in her early years she lived in California. She was a bright and joyful little girl who enjoyed playing with her friends and she was an animal lover. She moved back to Guatemala and graduated as a Professional Ballet Dancer. She was an incredible dancer. Dance was her biggest passion, not only Ballet but any kind. She loved to dance anywhere, anytime. It gave her so much joy. In 1978, Abi got married and had three beautiful children, she enjoyed dancing to the Lord and serving him. She was an amazing mother and grandmother. She was also always thinking about others, and it made her truly happy to share her love, joy, and laughter with everyone around her. Abi moved to Canada in 2016, and she was so excited to be a Canadian Citizen. She made so many beautiful memories here. She always loved the mountains and was in awe of the beauty of God’s creation. Abi was a very hard worker! She had always been a resilient figure in the face of adversity. Her caring nature, fun-loving positive attitude and her beautiful smile would put anyone at ease, from newborns to the elderly. Abi always put others before herself. She was as compassionate as she was funny. Even when ill, Abi was never angry, she would never complain. She was positive and thankful. Abi was so special. She represented the good that we all need in our every day lives. She was one of a select few who could rise to meet challenges with a smile. She will never truly know the impact she made on so many people’s lives. Just with her smile or a hello or helping when she didn’t have to. Abi had the heart of an Angel and the strength of a warrior. Her spirit is one of one. She will be remembered forever by her husband, Edgar Herman, her daughter, Vanessa Ruppert, her sons, Juan Herman and Herbert Herman, her grandchildren, Herbert Herman, Sofia Herman, Sebastian Herman, Genesis Herman and Antonella Herman and her soon to come granddaughter.
