Students set to return to class at St. Patrick’s Community School

Roughly 550 local elementary school students will return to the classroom this week to kick-off another school year.

St. Patrick’s Community School offers a year-round schooling program to students in Red Deer and will begin its 2022-2023 school year on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, for students with last names beginning with the letter A-K and Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, for students with last names beginning with the letter L-Z.

Officials with Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools say all students will attend on Friday, August 12, 2022.

This means St. Patrick’s Community School students will be using bus stops and crossing various streets. For this reason, the public is being asked to adhere to speed limits in school zones, especially in the Highland Green neighbourhood where the school is located.
