Lacombe Field Day showcasing research and industry collaboration

Officials with Olds College are gathered near Lacombe today to showcase some of the amazing agricultural research and industry collaboration taking place at their institution.

Olds College’s Field Crop Development Centre (FCDC) is hosting Lacombe Field Day on July 27, just south of Lacombe on Highway 2A.

Presented by Alberta Barley, the annual event offers the chance to learn from FCDC Research Scientists and Associates, as well as industry professionals, during in-field presentations which highlight malting barley, quality, feed and forage, biotech, pathology and the triticale breeding program.

Officials say Lacombe Field Day will also showcase a variety of demonstrations, including soil sampling, weighing samples, and more.
