Jett Grande is now 3-0-1 in his professional MMA career after his latest victory this past weekend.

Grande, who hails from Red Deer, defeated Medicine Hat’s Colton Boxell (now 1-3) in a super lightweight (165 lbs) bout at Unified MMA 45 on May 27. The fight came down to a unanimous decision in the 24-year-old’s favour.

“I felt like I was able to deliver a controlled and disciplined fight and was able to control the fight whenever I wanted. Overall I was happy with my performance and am grateful to be able to compete against a tough opponent and gain more valuable cage experience,” Grande tells rdnewsNOW.

“I have received an awesome opportunity to go train and take a fight internationally this summer, so I think that’s the route I will take. Then I will come back to Canada and look forward to finishing off my year with Unified MMA in September and December.”
