It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear beloved wife, mother, and nana, Sandy Marie Maxine Schallock two weeks shy of her 61st birthday, with her family by her side, on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Sandy was born in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, and attended school in Terrace and Taylor, British Columbia, before starting to raise a loving family. Later on, she received her Administration Diploma. Sandy was a highly skilled dart player. She also hosted countless family dinners and was always sending home plenty of leftovers. With the love of her life, she settled happily in Red Deer in 2006, after residing in BC. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-four years, Don Schallock and their four children, Wesley (Sheena), Jodi (Milan), Chantelle (Dave), and DJ; her twelve grandchildren and her one great grandchild. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Diane (Neil) Widdicombe, Marlene (late Rod) Ireland, Lottie (late Dennis) Paul, and her brothers, Les, Leonard and Jimmy Paul; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Napoleon and her step father, Pop Ron and her mother in law Shirley, a sister, Denise Bourgeois, and her husband Rocky, a brother, Lyle Paul and his wife, Sandy, and her nephews, Ernie, Leslie and Justin. An Open House will be held at our home, 146 Kelloway Crescent, Red Deer on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer in Chetwynd, British Columbia on Saturday, July 23, 2022.
