Irene Edna Humm of Stettler, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Sunday, April
24, 2022 at the age of 86 years. Irene was born on July 14, 1935 in McLennan, Alberta to parents Raymond
and Eva Lussier. Irene leaves to mourn her five children, Lyle (Bev) Smith of Lacombe, Alberta, Veronica
Scheerschmidt of Stettler, Alberta, Duane Smith of Leduc, Alberta, Valerie Huff of Edmonton, Alberta,
and Shawn Smith of Edmonton, Alberta; daughter-in-laws, Betsy Smith and Samantha Russell; her fifteen
grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her brother, Marcel (Dale)
Lussier of Stony Plain, Alberta and niece Susan Camponi of Vernon, British Columbia, along with
numerous family members and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald Smith and
second husband, Douglas Humm; her sisters, Rolande Camponi, Helene McArthur, Lillian Stafford,
Paulette McCann and her grandson, Luke Scheerschmidt. Irene’s wish was to be interred with her mother
Eva and her sisters in St. Albert, Alberta. There will be a private family service there in the summer of
