WHL holds Prospects Draft and U.S. Priority Draft lotteries
The Red Deer Rebels will select 14th and 31st in the upcoming Western Hockey League U.S. Priority Draft.
The WHL held the U.S. Priority Draft Lottery on Thursday, with Edmonton obtaining the first overall selection. All 22 clubs has equal opportunity to garner that pick.
Players eligible for the U.S. Priority Draft — to be held May 18, will be 2007-born and residing in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
Players not selected will be eligible still for the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft on Thursday, May 19, or can be listed by a WHL Club at any time thereafter.
