Mr. Lyonel James Radke of Lousana, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on March 21, 2022 at the age of 56 years. Lyonel was born in Red Deer. He spent a great deal of time farming with his grandparents. He helped neighbors with farming and field work. He was known as “Tiny” by many people. Lyonel had a passion for mechanics. He received his Red Seal Journeyman certifications in Automotive and Heavy Duty Mechanics. In 1997, while working at Al Glovers International, he opened his own mechanical repair shop on the farm. We named it Tiny’s Auto – Ag. Lyonel was known for his gardening. The cousins would tease him about ruler straight rows. Lyonel loved his animals with all his heart. In his earlier years he bounced at Billy Bob’s and was known to dance the night away.
Lyonel Radke is lovingly remembered by his wife, Claudean, his daughters: Brandi (Kyle) Wilson of Delburne, and Christina Radke of Lousana, and three grandchildren. Lyonel’s father, Ron (Donna) Radke and his honorary parents, Dorothy and Llyod Feil. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother, Kris (Linda) Radke of British Columbia and his sister, Korinna Radke (Stuart Nielsen) of Ames, Iowa and two nieces, Katrina and Elaine, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Lyonel was predeceased by his mother, Elaine Hodgkinson, and his mother and father in-law, Bill and Ethel Marsellus, and both sets of grandparents Frank and Chrissie Hodgkinson and Beatrice and Ed Radke.
