Mr. Arnold Kurt Grafe, passed away at Villa Marie, Red Deer on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the age
of 87 years.
“The loss of your Father and Opi, no matter how old you are, changes your life forever. Your Dad
and Opi is your protector who keeps you safe and secure. You never really get over the loss. You learn
to live with the loss, and he is never far from your thoughts. We will always remember you Dadda and
Opi, because there will never be another one to replace you in our hearts, and the love we will always
have for you. You left us beautiful memories; your love is still our guide. We miss you, but Heaven is
so, so lucky to have you and Momma together again.”
Arnold was loved by not only his family but also by many friends he made along his way, working at
Michener Centre in Transportation until his retirement, a Member and Past Exalted Ruler of the
B.P.O.E. Red Deer, and a member of the Liberal Party of Canada. He was especially loved by his many
doggies and cat. Arnold will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Susan (Colin) Allison and
Pamela (Mike) Mulhall; his four grandchildren, Aaron (Rachelle) Allison, Ariel Allison, Kurt (Kayla)
Mulhall, and Troy (Joan) Mulhall, and his five beautiful great grandchildren, Eleonore, Thomas and
Sebastien Allison and Arlo and Rhett Mulhall. He will also be sadly missed by a niece, a nephew and his
close friends. Arnold was predeceased by his wife, Eleonore Grafe, in 2019. Arnold’s family would like
to extend a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Villa Marie, Red Deer LTC1 for the wonderful care they
gave Arnold during his stay there. A Celebration of Arnold’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral
Home, 6287 – 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 1:00
p.m. with The Reverend Don Hennig officiating. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and
Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Arnold’s honor may be made
