Robert “Bob” Stanley Gould
February 21, 1944 to March 11, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Bob Gould announce his passing at the age of 78 years.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce of 58 years, his son Barry Gould, and daughter Monita Bergh, his grandsons, Ross Bergh (Chelsea Mollan) and Randy Bergh, as well as his great grandsons, Rylan, Silas and Eddie, and his brothers, Fred Gould (Colleen), and Don Gould (Ann). He was predeceased by his sister Mona Greffen. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous nephews and nieces, extended family and many friends.
Bob was born at home on the family farm near the Cypress Hills in Saskatchewan. He loved the native plants and birds and continued to learn and share his knowledge of them with his family and friends throughout his life.
He worked in the oilfield for many years, both operating and building air compressors. At home Bob would spend many hours in his shop tinkering and fixing anything mechanical for himself and others.
Throughout his life Bob was happiest when he was camping and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Most holidays were spent having a good meal followed by a competitive board game.
In his later years Bob loved ice fishing, and gardening on their acreage near Blackfalds and was very proud of the many varieties of colored carrots he cross bred and grew.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
We sincerely thank the staff at the Central Alberta Cancer Clinic and the Red Deer Regional Hospital for their care and kindness.
