Mr. Lorne Sidney Moore of Blackfalds, Alberta passed away suddenly, and peacefully, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the age of 69 years. Lorne was born to parents, Helen and Willis Moore on February 15, 1953 at Galahad, Alberta. He grew up in Forestburg, Alberta, where his father and his uncle, Don Moore owned Moore’s Tomboy. Lorne moved with his family to Rimbey in 1967, where they opened another Tomboy. Lorne did his schooling in Rimbey, Alberta and then began working in the Oil Rigs. Lorne then began working for ATCO Gas, which he continued to do for the next twenty years. Lorne retired from ATCO Gas in July of 2021. Lorne loved to fish and camp with his son, John year round. Lorne often took John and his nephews, Nathan and Brandon ice fishing. Lorne loved his family deeply. Lorne will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Jim Moore and his children, Michael, Katherine and Paul, his sister, June Rudulier and her children, Craig, Erin and Kevin, his sister, Maggie Nobes and her children, Jody, Tracy and Christie, his brother, Dale Moore and his step-son, Nathan Geddert, and his sister, Janet Burghardt and her son, Brandon; as well as numerous great nieces, nephews and many friends, including his Vat friends and his ATCO friends. Lorne was predeceased by his son, John Willis Moore (2004), his brother, Jim Moore, and his parents, Helen and Willis Moore.
