Health Foundation, CP team up to raise $40,000 for vital monitors

The Red Deer Regional Health Foundation is seeking community support for a critical fundraising campaign.

The foundation is raising money to purchase two vital monitors, which measure basic body functions such as heart rate and rhythm, oxygen levels and blood pressure. They are to be used in the Endoscopy Department and Intensive Care Unit at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre.

The cost is significant, with the foundation saying that Canadian Pacific has agreed to match all donations up to $20,000. That is the cost of each monitor.

“We are very grateful to all of our donors that assist us in purchasing equipment that is not covered by public funds,” says Manon Therriault, foundation CEO. “By rallying together, the Foundation works to fund today’s needs, ensuring we can provide the best healthcare for our community.”
