Mr. Gerard ‘Gary’ Cabalt of Gleniffer Lake Resort passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 74 years. Gary was born, raised and educated in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He moved to Toronto, Ontario in 1966, where he worked for an electrical consultant company. Gary met Corrie and they were married in 1968; they had two children together, Stephen and Michelle. In 1980 he moved the family west to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Gary continued working in the Consulting Field. Gary eventually began his own practice, ‘BCP Engineering Ltd.’. Upon retirement Gary and Corrie moved to Gleniffer Lake, Alberta and lived between Gleniffer and Florida, as well as visiting other points in the south during winter months. Gary is lovingly remembered by his wife, Corrie, his son, Stephen and his children Taylor and Sydne, his daughter, Michelle and her children Isabelle and Corbin. He will also be deeply missed by his two brothers in law, Peter (Diane) Hoondert and John (Kathy) Hoondert and his two sisters in law, Mary (Bill) Dorssers and Patricia and (Louis) Contreras as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Gary was predeceased by his brother in law, William Hoondert and his sister in law, Polly (Paul) Kaspardlov. Gary enjoyed contributing to the success of others, whether it be through company employees, assisting clients in realizing their project successes or supporting his family in achieving success in their life paths.
