Candelaria Tamayao Malittay Boucher

Candelaria (Claire) Boucher passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 58, in Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, January 30th, 2022.
She was born on February 2nd, 1963, to loving parents Angelino and Filomena Malittay in Tuao Cagayan, Philippines. After graduating from college, Claire traveled and lived all around the world including Hong Kong, Riyadh, and Kuwait before settling in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. Here she found the love of her life and two years later gave birth to her son Aaron.
Claire brought light and happiness to each person she met, always sparking a friendship. Gardening was a favourite past time for Claire as she tended a large garden of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. She always shared the rewards of her harvest with friends and family. Her door was always open for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. She loved conversation and always made sure her guest never left without being fed. When not at home, Claire would frequent the mountains where she would explore, camp, fish and hike with her son, husband, and dog Pluto.
Claire was predeceased by her parents (Angelino & Filomena Malittay) and her sister-in-law Anni Malittay. She is survived by her Husband, Jim; Sons, Aaron, Jean Paul (Laura), Xavier (Angel), and Scott (Agi); Grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Owen and Liam, Cici, Hanora, Aubra, Lachlan; Siblings, Max Malittay, Norma (Robert) Olea, Domingo (Marlyn) Malittay, Juliet (Brian) Jones; Nieces and Nephews, Richard, Analyn, Ray, Jenalyn, Grace, Donna, Davidson, Julian-Marie and Angeline; and numerous cousins.
The service at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard will be live streamed on Wednesday, February 9th at 10AM, carried through to the service, and can be viewed at:
