Sharlene Langdale

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Sharlene Elizabeth Langdale, nee Gittel, born July 22, 1940 in Calgary, Ab.
A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Sharlene was a beautiful spirit and a graceful lady.
Sharlene was predeceased by husband, Roland Russell, grandson, Michael Sazenis, parents Sam and Elsie Gittel, sister, Marilyn Leigh. and husbands, Michael Hounslow and Howard Langdale.
Sharlene is survived by her son, Scott Hounslow (Sheila) , daughter, Sheryl Sazenis, grandchildren Brianne Simpson (Rob), Kailen Hounslow (Petra), great grandchildren Preston, Andrew, Bronson, Maizee, Gia, Alexa, and nephews, Chris and Jason.
Sharlene attended Crescent Heights High School in Calgary. She married Mike Hounslow in 1958, father to Scott and Sheryl. She worked as a Geophysical Secretary, and retired in 1990, after which she spent many joy-filled winters in Mesa, Arizona.
Mom will always be in our hearts and will be remembered for her gracious demeanour. She was an avid gardener, who also loved fashion and decorating. She lived life full with many dear friends.
A memorial is planned for June 2022. Date and time TBA.
A huge Thank you to Christenson Communities of Timberstone Mews whose staff and management were always there to help Sharlene and bring quality of life to her during the difficult Covid times.
We will miss you, Mom!
