Kenneth Joseph Fox was received into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on January 9th, 2022 at the age of 77 years.
Born in Scott, Saskatchewan on April 19th, 1944 to Joe and Thelma Fox, Ken was the second oldest of 12 children. His family moved later to Whitelaw, Alberta; it was here that he began to hone his pitching skills, which would become such a massive part of his future years. His passion for sports was quickly growing and he could often eb found pitching at the barn door for hours on end, becoming later in life one of Alberta’s top pitchers. Ken excelled in sports and he helped to win championships in many tournaments over the years.
Ken decided to enroll in Education at the University of Alberta and it was there he met Eileen, who was to become his wife and the love of his life for 54 Years. Ken’s teaching career spanned 32 years; he so enjoyed seeing his students change and grow as they made their way from his class onward, enjoying how many kept in contact through the years. He touched many lives with his kind heart and easy-going nature. At recess, one could often find him throwing some spirals with his students, enjoying every minute of this!
Ken was always so proud of his kids and grandkids! It always gave him great comfort and delight to share some of their stories with his friends and know that they were doing well. We’ll remember the love, support and strength he brought to our family and the courage with which he faced his journey.
Ken will be missed incredibly by his loving wife Eileen, children Harlan (Janice), Mike (Trish), Mitch (Raquel), Jackie (Kevin) and nine grandchildren, Isaac, Damon, Lane, Jordan, Tyson, Jacob, Josh, Kai and Charlie. Also, by his siblings’ brothers Don (Carol), Tim (Sandra), Robert (Dar), sisters Gwen (ken), Marilyn, Alexis, Helen, Sue (Dennis), Pat (Jim), Dion (Anita) and many special nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Thelma, sisters Karen and Elaine, and brothers-in-law Bob, Frank and Ozzie.
