Mr. Lyall William Delorme of Olds, Alberta passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Lyall was born June 15, 1944 in Pilot Mound, Manitoba to Beatrice and Saul Delorme. He was the younger sibling to his brother, Conrad. Growing up, Lyall always had knack for tools, machinery and equipment. He left high school early to work at Highway Motors in his home town. His athletic abilities led him to many championships in Baseball and Hockey; including capturing the 1963 Manitoba Baseball Provincial Championship. Lyall married Connie Collins on April 20, 1968 in Pilot Mound and they soon relocated to Calgary, Alberta where he was working for Western Geophysical. As a mechanic and operator, he travelled into Nevada and California testing and maintaining Seismic equipment. Lyall and Connie had two children, Tyler and Misty and moved west of Airdrie. Lyall worked as a long-haul truck driver for many years and then enjoyed having his own tool shop. He always had a love for boating, camping, fishing, and quadding which he enjoyed doing with his kids and grandchildren. Lyall will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Misty (Shane) Reberger of Olds, Alberta, his grandchildren, Tristen and Cheyenne Delorme of Crossfield, Alberta, Fallon and Jett Reberger of Olds, Alberta and loving friend, Sue Mackenzie of Didsbury, Alberta. He will also be deeply missed by his brother, Conrad (Pat) Delorme of Calgary, Alberta, his nephew, Kelly of Calgary, his niece’s, Karen (Harvie) of Coal Lake, Alberta and Lori (Matt) of Kingston, New Brunswick. Lyall will also be remembered by the many friends he always stayed in touch with. Lyall was predeceased by his son, Tyler Delorme, the mother of his children, Connie Delorme, his nephew, Darren Delorme and his parents, Beatrice and Saul Delorme.
