Marjorie Rena Barton

Marjorie Rena Barton was born April 25, 1923 at Erskine Alberta to Paul and Martha (Ethel) Ness. She grew up south of Nevis and attended the Union Hall School. She married John Barton in 1938 and together they raised five daughters and farmed near Nevis. They moved to Red Deer in 1970 where Marj worked for a few years at Dear home, Twilite Lodge, and The Black Knight Inn. She later retired and spent her later years devoted to her family and going from her city home to her farm, feeding cattle in the summers and enjoying her horses. Her last few years were spent at Timberstone Mews in Red Deer.
Marjorie is predeceased by her parents Paul and Ethel Ness, Her brothers; Francis, Pat(Leo), Earl, Don, Rex and Dee (Charles), her sisters Helena Free and baby Donis, Her husband John Barton, Her daughters Rena Sala and baby Donna, Baby twin sons, and grandson Jessie Munro
She is survived by daughters Cherry Miller, Bonnie Barton(Gerald Antoni) Penny Nelson(Barry), and Cheryl Munro. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Marjorie passed away on December 9th at Red Deer, Alberta. Her wonderful influence and love will be passed through the generations. She will be greatly missed.
