Mrs. Mildred Effie Moore passed away at Bethany CollegeSide, Red Deer. Alberta on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the age of 94 years. Millie was the youngest child of Jim and Effie Meers. She grew up on the family farm near Wimborne, Alberta. On November 10, 1947, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Moore. Together, they built their home and family on their farm in Kneehill Valley, which later became part of Red Deer County. In December of 1948, they welcomed their first son, Barrie and then Wayne, in May of 1951. Mom was quite the cook. We especially looked forward to her fried chicken, fresh bread and butter tarts. She also made, and beautifully decorated, wedding cakes. Mom was also very good at knitting, sewing, and crochet. She has many ribbons as proof. Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Barrie (Barbara) and Wayne (Donna); her grandsons, Darren and Kevin (Jennifer) and her great grandchildren, Jasmyn and Liam; as well as numerous family and friends. Mildred was predeceased by dad after sixty-one years of marriage. Our family would like to thank Revera Inglewood for their care while mom resided there. We would also especially like to thank Bethany CollegeSide and their staff for the love, care and concern they showed during mom’s time with them. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
