John Cliffton Richardson

John Cliffton Richardson passed away November 18th, 2021, at the age of 75 in Red Deer, Alberta, surrounded by family. The son of Frank and Margaret Richardson (Weir), John Richardson was born May 5th 1946 in Westlock, AB and grew up in Morinville, AB and Hay River, NWT. John was a proud veteran from the Bonaventure crew. At the age of 18, John enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy. He valued this service highly and was an esteemed radio navigator on planes. The crew’s primary missions were discovering enemy submarines during the Cold War Era.
John attended Northwest Bible College studying to become a pastor. John’s spirituality was always utmost of importance to him, and he loved spreading the word of God to others. Later in life John found another passion in real-estate. John became a successful realtor in the greater Red Deer area for over 40 years. John went on to create his own enterprise, the Richardson Realty company.
John is survived by his children Jeremiah Richardson (Calandra), Jessica Read (Matthew), Denise Richardson and 7 grandchildren ranging in age from 5 to 24. His loved ones will remember his dry sense of humor, love for camping, visiting the Legion and karaoke.

A service honoring the life of John will be held at his favorite campground in the coming Summer 2022.
