Mr. Raymond John Hermary, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather of Red Deer,
Alberta, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the age of 91 years.
Raymond was born on January 23, 1930 in Red Deer, Alberta and he was raised on the family
farm. He was a Civilian Draftsman at CFB Penhold for twenty-five years and served on the Red
Deer Catholic School Board. Raymond was an artistic and creative man whose talents flourished
in photography, pottery and woodworking; although he gave most of his handiwork to friends
and family. Raymond will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Hugh (Loretta), Greg (Anne),
Mark (Claudia) and David, the mother of his children, Betty Anne, his nine grandchildren and
his five great grandchildren; as well as his six remaining siblings and their families. Raymond
was predeceased by a son, Ted, a daughter-in-law, Diane, a grandson, Ryan and his six siblings.
The Hermary family would like to give a special thank you to the LPN’s and Staff at
Timberstone Mews and Dr. Rautenbach, for their exceptional care of Raymond. A Private
Family Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Red Deer, Alberta. In
lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Raymond’s honor may be made directly to the Red Deer
Food Bank Society at www.reddeerfoodbank.com or to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
