Temporary Road Closure

Walking trail extension work underway in Ponoka

Officials with the Town of Ponoka say there will be a temporary road closure on 50 Street between Highway 53 and 44 Avenue beginning on Nov. 2 at 9 a.m..

Traffic will be detoured along 54 Street and 46 Avenue, while crews work on the walking trail extension on 50 Street.

Access to businesses in the area will be maintained during the temporary road closure. However, motorists are reminded to please drive with caution near construction zones and observe road signs and traffic safety personnel.

Pedestrian access will remain open to the Battle River Valley pedestrian bridge during the temporary road closure.

Citizens are asked to maintain a safe distance from the construction zone and equipment.
