On October 10, 2021, Garry was welcomed into the arms of His God and Father. Garry passed from this life to the next suffering a heart attack at the family home at the age of 81. He was best known for his remarkable career in the cattle industry and was a popular figure found at auction markets across the province. Garry finished up his career in Real Estate traveling throughout Alberta. Family was important to Garry and he would often be found at the local 4H shows, baseball games and basketball tournaments watching his children and grandchildren. He could also be found travelling to Saskatchewan, Ontario, Nashville, and the Philippines to visit family. He loved all sports and played a mean game of Crokinole. Frequently he travelled with Betty to East Africa to work with the Church of God on site, teaching agricultural techniques, building churches, preaching, teaching, and providing support. He was a blessing to many countries in East Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, and Oceania. Garry was generous in blessing others in the community with work opportunities and help when needed. He was a gifted leader and led Kings Kattle for many years. Garry leaves behind his dear wife of 61 years, “Betty”, his children Darlene (Charlie), Ray (Diane), Lavern (Deanna), Janet (John), his grandchildren, Mitchell (Jolene), Travis (Kari), Cassandra, Christa, Kelsie (Lance), Luke (Sophia), Andy (Sandy), Jackie, Jason (Lidia), Randy, Ryan (Leah), 9 great grandchildren, brother, Wayne (Bonnie), sister-in-law, Alvina, and Connie (Dave) Espenant, Jesse (Mackenna), Jordyn and brothers-in-law Maurice and Dallas (Dickie) Leaver.
