Passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 23, 2021 at Villa Marie Covenant Care.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband O.H. (Bill) Benz, daughter Dianne and brother Norman. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Terry (Ken), Wayne (Cathy), and Barry; grandchildren: Paul, Jody (Troy), Lisa (Derek), Kristy, Karmin (Chad), Randi-Mae, and Scott; seven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Evelyn was a loving wife, mother and homemaker who opened her heart and home to family and friends. She was married to her loving husband, Bill, for 59 years and together they raised their family on their farm at Caroline.

Evelyn had a quiet, gentle manner and loved nature, the farm life and all animals. She was especially fond of the birds that frequented the farmyard and kept them well fed. Evelyn was an avid gardener. The many hours she spent tending to her flowers and vegetable garden brought her great joy. The harvest found its way into many delicious meals at special family gatherings that are very fondly remembered. Evelyn was always there for her family and always made time to help others. She treasured her many long-lasting friendships. She kept informed on current affairs and had a keen interest in many different subjects. She enjoyed knitting beautiful sweaters for her family, doing puzzles, and in later years volunteering at the Caroline library where special friendships were made.

Above all, Evelyn will be remembered for her unconditional love, her wisdom and her beautiful soul.
