Karen Anne passed peacefully at home on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 at the age of 69. Dennis William Quilliams went to his heavenly home on Friday, October 1st, 2021 surrounded by loved ones at the age of 71 years. Karen and Dennis resided in Springbrook, Alberta. Karen is survived by her father, Dan Wieb, and her brothers; Al(Bonnie) Wieb, Ken(Paula) Wieb. Dennis is survived by his brothers Donald(Karen) Quilliams, and David(Madeline) Quilliams. They are survived by their children Winona(Sean) Morland, and Paul(Crystal) Quilliams. Karen and Dennis were blessed by their grandchildren, Sarah, Raymond, Jacob, Brooke, Bryson, Travis and Emilie. They were also blessed by their great-grandchildren, Cailee, Graesyn, Nathaniel and Benjamin. Dennis was born to Bill and Iris Quilliams in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 17th, 1949. Karen was born to Dan and Dorthy Wieb in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 25th, 1952. Karen and Dennis met at Western Christian College in 1969. They were married on July 3rd, 1971. Karen received her nursing diploma and Dennis received his agriculture diploma, both from the University of Winnipeg. Karen worked as a nurse until she went on disability leave and Dennis worked as an accountant in some of their early years. They were also involved in Western Christian College as dorm parents. Through-out their many years together, they worked with horses and their people. They provided training, lessons, and workshops through Horse Sense Horsemanship. They also provided therapeutic riding opportunities to those of all abilities and special needs through Gaitway to Equine Experiences. They will be fondly remembered for their time providing respite and foster care to special needs children. Karen and Dennis will be remembered for their love and care towards their church family and their wider community. They supported many couples over the years with parenting and marriage workshops. They will always be remembered for their deep faith and abiding love for each other. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Davenport Church of Christ, 68 Donlevy Ave, Red Deer, Alberta.
