New executive director for Red Deer Dream Centre

Officials with a new recovery centre planned to open in downtown Red Deer in the coming months, have announced a new executive director for the facility.

Dr. Vincenzo Aliberti, is expected to provide direction for the Red Deer Dream Centre (RDDC) and oversee the launch and delivery of its services in the community.

Red Deer Dream Centre is a 40-bed residential clinical drug and alcohol recovery centre and is set to open in early 2022.

Dr. Vincenzo (Vince) Aliberti, Ph.D. is described as an author, business strategist, and mental health advocate with over 20+ years of leadership, corporate strategy, organizational effectiveness, business transformation, and mental health experience across a variety of industries.

He has written one book on mergers and acquisitions, and numerous books in the personal development genre, including Achieve Your Greatness, 4 Truths, Reflections: Living Lessons On Living One Day At A Time, and A Hero’s Journey: Soulful Leadership. He is said to have written these books to empower and inspire his readers to embrace their personal greatness.

Described as always giving back to the community, Aliberti has been the president of the Canadian- Italian Business & Professional Association (CIBPA), vice-chair of Empowering Minds, and a former Senator at the University of Calgary. Currently, he is addressing unignorable issues including intergenerational trauma, addictions & recovery, and the impact of mental health in people’s personal and professional life as an impact speaker with the United Way.

His purpose in life, according to Dream Centre officials, is to empower and inspire people to achieve their personal greatness. Working as the executive director at the Red Deer Dream Centre is anticipated to enable him to do just that, with every client that walks through the doors and the surrounding communities at-large.

The Red Deer Dream Centre will welcome clients coming straight from detox and support them with housing as well as individual and group counselling. We will also offer assistance with education upgrading and job skill training. We will continue to support our clients long term as they transition back into their community.
