It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cornelis ‘Corry’ Oerlemans on Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 76 years. Corry was born in the village of Waubach, Heerlan, The Netherlands on May 16, 1945 to Johanna and Casper Oerlemans. Corry grew to be a talented musician and artist who was always ready for the next adventure. He is survived by his life partner Barbara Bushewsky, his daughter Jennifer Ann Oerlemans (Stan), his son Michael Scott Oerlemans (Lisa), His loving grandchildren Tessa Disher, Justin Disher and Corry (CJ) Oerlemans along with his brother Bill Oerlemans (Sandy), his sister Ria (Bob) Colquhoun and his step family Kalya and Michael Polihronopoulos and many aunts, uncles, cousins in Canada and abroad. Corry was predeceased by his wife Gloria Jean (Taylor) Oerlemans, his mother Johanna Helena Agnes (Verhaag) Oerlemans and his father Casper Joseph Oerlemans. Anyone wishing to make a donation in honour of Corry they may be made directly to the animal shelter of your choice.
