1935 ~ In Loving Memory of Mrs. Joan Wilson ~ 2021

Mrs. Joan Wilson of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Joan was born at Condor, Alberta on May 22, 1935, to Archibald and Elizabeth Mitchell. In 1970, she married Sandy Wilson and moved to farm in the Cumberland Area near Delburne. After Sandy’s passing, Joan remained on the farm for a few years until her eyesight made it difficult and she moved to Revera Inglewood in Red Deer. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Dean (Connie) Wilson and Jim (Susan) Wilson, all of Delburne, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Dennis (Aimee) and Daylen, Chris (Alana) and Brookelyn and Hailey, Kyle (Brandi) and Kamden, Caleb and Emilia, Robyn (Dalton), Pyper and Zach, all of Delburne. She will also be sadly missed by her sister-in-law, Claira Mitchell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Sandy, her parents, a brother, Andrew and her sisters, Etta and May. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects one hour prior to the Funeral Service. A Funeral Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Joeseph Leuwer Officiating. Interment will follow at the Delburne Cemetery, Delburne, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Joan’s honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society at www.reddeerhospice.com.
