Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce to host “Women Leading Change”

The Red Deer and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a one-day professional development event for women in business this fall.

“Women Leading Change” will take place Sept. 21 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.at the Red Deer College Arts Centre.

The event will feature a variety of workshops on professional development.

Topics include HR, Social Media, Marketing, Accounting, Networking, Finance and more!

Chamber officials say there will be networking and great food, and a panel of local women entrepreneurs.

Special guest speaker this year is Rachael Harder – Lethbridge MP.

Harder’s entrepreneurial spirit, determination, and commitment to innovation were made evident at the age of 11 when she started her own small business, raising dogs and running a boarding kennel.

With the revenue generated from her business, Harder helped fund several international development projects, participated in four international humanitarian missions, and put herself through University.

In 2016, Harder was named one of Lethbridge’s “Top 40 under Forty.”
