Scott Robinson named Central Alberta Sport Authority CEO

Scott Robinson has been named the new Chief Executive Office of the Central Alberta Sport Authority (CASA).

CASA is a legacy project of the 2019 Canada Winter Games, for which Robinson also served as CEO.

The project’s vision is that central Alberta will be known as a leader in sport internationally, nationally and provincially.

“A key first step in achieving our vision is building a strong organizational foundation and we are confident that Scott’s ability to connect and lead will position CASA for success,” says Allan Ferchuk, CASA board chair.

Prior to the 2019 Games in Red Deer, Robinson spent 23 years with Hockey Alberta, including 10 as executive director of the Hockey Alberta Foundation.

“I am excited to start working with the CASA Board of Directors and I am honoured at this opportunity to help establish central Alberta as a leader in sport development, hosting and celebration and launch this critical legacy from the 2019 Games,” said Robinson.

During fall 2019, nine candidates were selected to the inaugural CASA board, and have since built on the initial business plan framework to develop a multi-year strategic plan to guide CASA in the years to come.
