Power outages occurring in west Red Deer due to fire

City of Red Deer EL&P crews are responding to a pole fire on the west side of the QEII Highway, just south of the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame.
South and northbound traffic is being diverted while crews work.
Residents and businesses in the West Lake and Cronquist Drive areas, as well as in the Fort Normandeau area, may experience power outages for the next four to six hours.
