Thunder games cancelled after positive COVID-19 test

As the result of a positive COVID-19 test in the Drayton Valley Thunder cohort, the Alberta Junior Hockey League says all team activities are now suspended for the cohorts of the Thunder, Grande Prairie Storm and Whitecourt Wolverines.

The decision as per the AJHL’s Return to Play protocols means all games involving the three teams this Easter Long Weekend have been cancelled.

Team activities for the Thunder, Wolverines and Storm will be paused for the next 14 days.

The reason for the cancellation of the Storm and Wolverines activities has to do with the agreement put in place with Alberta Health Services.

If any player or staff member of an AJHL cohort tests positive for COVID-19, all teams in that cohort is not allowed to participate in any team activities for the next two weeks.
