Two people charged in an alleged biker gang-related home invasion and kidnapping incident in central Alberta two and a half years ago have been handed conditional sentences.

Kevin Michael Fix, 37, and Joshua Bradley Noordhoff, 38, both entered guilty pleas in a Calgary courtroom on Wednesday and were sentenced on three counts and two counts, respectively.

Fix pled guilty to charges of threats causing death or bodily harm, theft of a motor vehicle, and assault. He was given a total 18 months conditional sentence in addition to 100 hours of community service.

Noordhoff pled guilty to charges of threats causing death or bodily harm, and theft of a motor vehicle. He was given a total nine months conditional sentence.

Two other individuals originally charged saw their counts previously withdrawn.

Fix and Noordhoff were among four people charged after Didsbury RCMP responded to an incident in Olds on June 17, 2018.

It was then when Mounties allege a kidnapping and assault occurred where three suspects were accused of abducting two adult victims from the location and driven in their own vehicles to the Syndicate Motorcycle Club Clubhouse in Red Deer where one of them was assaulted.

RCMP say the victims were then released and left the clubhouse.

On June 29, 2018, Mounties say three different suspects came to the same victim’s residence in Didsbury and broke into the house before stealing the female victim’s car and fleeing.

According to police, an in-depth investigation was launched by Didsbury RCMP, utilizing assistance from Olds and Red Deer RCMP detachments, Red Deer and Calgary General Investigation sections, the Forensic Identification Section, the RCMP Interview Assistance Team, and ALERT in Red Deer, as well as K Division’s Gang Intelligence Coordinator.

Information revealed the Syndicate Motorcycle Club in Red Deer was allegedly a support club for the Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Club – Nomads Chapter.

On July 10, 2018, four suspects were arrested without incident in Red Deer. Following their arrest, a search warrant was executed at the Syndicate clubhouse in Red Deer where evidence was seized for further examination.

A second search was done the next day at a residence in Red Deer where cocaine, cash, and further evidence was seized.

Eight other counts against Fix were withdrawn, while seven other counts against Noordhoff were also withdrawn.
