It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Mrs. Karen Rose Mary Boychuk of Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Karen was born on January 25, 1937 in Camrose, Alberta. She was an avid golfer, a true Calgary Flames Fan and had a love for camping. Raising her boys, Karen became very involved with sports. She was a dedicated Mom and coach. The referees weren’t always right, and Karen would certainly let them know. Karen met many lifelong friends during these events. Karen’s family was everything to her. She was the happiest girl in the world, when she was with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. You know who you are and she loved you all. Karen will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Brad (Crystal), Brian (Louise) and Annie (predeceased by Brent) and her grandchildren, Brandon, Dylan, Brady, Dustin, Brianne, Kelsey, Christopher and Brenan and nine great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by numerous family members and dear friends. Karen was predeceased by her husband, Eric Boychuk and a granddaughter, Tamara. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Karen’s honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society at www.reddeerhospice.com. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
