It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Bruce Michael Bridge, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Red Deer Hospice on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the age of 68 years. Bruce was born December 25, 1952 at Stettler, Alberta. He attended school in Brownfield, Coronation and Edmonton. Bruce succeeded at several Trades, worked several places and met many people along the way. Bruce married in 1976, and had three children, who changed his life. He was very involved in volunteerism; especially scouting while his children were growing up. When they were older, he returned to travelling with work. Bruce enjoyed camping, fishing, bow hunting, riding his Harley and spending time with friends. Bruce became very spiritual as he aged; and set along the path to becoming a Shaman. His faith served him well, when he became ill. He will be missed by the many who knew him, and appreciated his wisdom and humour. Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Jean Bridge of Sylvan Lake, his sons, Joshua Bridge of Red Deer and Nathan (Lyndsey) Bridge of Spruce View, his daughter, Kaitlyn (Dylan) Hunter of Red Deer and his three grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his brother, Lyle, his sisters, Deborah (Les) Elliott of Coronation, Linda Bridge of Lethbridge, Jacquie Bridge and Tammie (Ron) Winder, both of Sylvan Lake. Bruce was predeceased by his father, Stanley Bridge. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. If desired, Memorial Donations in Bruce’s honour may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society at www.reddeerhospice.com or to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
