Mrs. Maureen Storek (nee Ambury) of Withrow, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the age of 77 years young. After long battles with various health issues, our angel was returned to heaven to be with her mother, Doris, her father, Howard and her siblings, Larry, Louise and Barbara. Maureen was a warm and approachable person, who loved to talk. She made lifelong cherished friends during her time in Big Valley, Innisfail and Withrow. Her very special friends include Art and Ann, Min, Arnie and Heidi, Darlene and Rose. Maureen showed her boundless love by always being ready to listen. She was an avid baker and her chocolate chip cookies were the grandchildren’s favorite treat, at Christmas time. Maureen loved to spend her time painting with water colors. Her handmade Christmas and Birthday cards were always beautiful and cherished by all. Maureen will by lovingly remembered by her lifelong soulmate and husband, of fifty-nine years, Rudy Storek. Maureen raised, and will be dearly missed by her three incredible children, Cynthia (Brian), Trent (Gail) and Karen; as well as her grandchildren, Carter, Jacob, Joshua, Aren, Branden and Sharanda and her great grandson, Ryland. We can’t forget the family dog, Oswald, who hasn’t been the same since her passing. Maureen also leaves to mourn her siblings, Lorraine (Eric), Linda (Gordon), Carol and Helen, and their families.
