A thousand moments that we had just taken for granted –
mostly because we assumed there would be a thousand more.
It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Mr. Leonard ‘Len’ Otto on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Len spent his career as a land surveyor, surveying throughout Western Canada. Upon retirement, he enjoyed his days at the golf course, and his later years at the casino with Mavis. Len was a very generous man with an ever-present sense of humour. He was an avid storyteller; who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Len will be lovingly remembered by his children, Janice (Graham), Gordon, Bob and Cindy (Alastair), his ten grandchildren and his two great grandchildren. Len was predeceased by his wife of sixty-three years, Mavis, his parents, Justus and Yata, a brother, George and a granddaughter, Kristi. A Celebration of Life for both Len and Mavis (who predeceased him by only one month) will be held later in the year. In place of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada at www.heartandstroke.ca or to The Lending Cupboard in Red Deer at www.lendingcupboard.ca.
