St. Joseph High School suspends in-person classes for two weeks
In-person classes at St. Joseph High School in Red Deer have been suspended for the next two weeks.
Kathleen Finnigan, Superintendent for Red Deer Catholic Regional School, says the move is due to the large portion of the school’s student (64%) and staff (42%) population currently in quarantine due to COVID-19.
“In collaboration with Alberta Education, we were granted a short term operational shift to at-home learning for St. Joseph High School from January 25, 2021 – February 5, 2021 and returning to in-person learning on February 8, 2021,” Finnigan explained in a letter sent to parents Sunday.
